Days Out
The Spa Town of Llandrindod Wells is named after the spring waters, offering Mineral Rich Waters for Bathing and Drinking in Victorian times. Set in the Radnorshire Hills, it has a beautiful fresh rural feeling to the town with interesting things to do.
The Lake
Close to the Cycle Museum is the boating lake which was built in the late 19th Century, it houses a cafe and is home to a range of Wildfowl.
The lake has it's own 'Loch Ness Monster', the largest public fountain built in the last 100 years and a childrens play area, it is a lovely place for a romantic stroll.
The Rock Park
Sitting on the edge of Llandrindod Town Centre is this 12 acre park which borders the River Ithon, planted as an Arboretum with many Specimen Trees and Natives which have now grown to maturity.
The park houses one of the original Spa buildings which is now a Complimentary Health and Conference Centre. There is still a small fountain of chalybeate water that can be sampled, allowing you to 'Take the Waters' today. Be prepared to pull a face !
